Women are more susceptible to osteoarthritis than men. Non-steroideal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS), such as ibuprofen, can relieve symptoms, but supplements can help, too. Fish oils containing omega 3 fats have been shown to relieve joint pain and prevent the problem from becoming worse – nutritionists recommend a 750 mg supplement daily.
