Set aside money for a rainy day
Money problem? And a common sense plan to fix them? Your finances feel out of control – if you don’t know where your money goes, don’t cry. Unless you want to retire broke, you have to start paying attention to what you spend. Start by writing your monthly household expenses. Rental, Utilities, Tuition, Groceries, Restaurant, paying bills like credit card. Don’t forget to include monthly breakdown of bills you might pay quarterly or bia-annually like insurance etc. Do your best to estimate on time outlays and irregular expenses like car repair and gifts. Then tally up all of these cost. Next, write your households after tax monthly income and compare the figure with your expenses total. If the amount you spend is bigger than the amount you bring in, you’re facing some hard choices.
