Buying your dream home?

For more of our Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW’s) buying a house (or a lot or condo unit) is the biggest investment they will make in their lives. But to get a good value for their hard earned money, they should keep in mind these things:

Don’t carry away. The model houses and their interiors we see on the Internet, brochures and scale models are inviting. But examine carefully what you’re buying. We can be very meticulous when we do that.

Know the developer, check the developer history and track record, especially its accomplished and current projects. Even it you’re abroad you can do research by checking on the internet for details about the developer.

Look for the licenses, be sure you’ll be buying from a developer that has the license to sell from the Housing Land Use and Regulatory Board (HLURB).That means it has complied with the board requirements.

Follow the development, most projects offer pre-selling. Since the buying in abroad ask your relatives to check the site for you and if the developer gets behind the construction schedule it should be able to explain what’s causing the delay.

Top sources to finance your dream home, you can avail either a loan from banks, lending and other mortgage companies that can process your loan through their branches or affiliate banks in the country you’re working in. Your dream home will soon be a reality with these options available for you.
