Simple Tips To Prevent Hair Loss

Millions of people around the globe are suffering from premature hair loss. It's mostly men who are concerned by this problem; however there are also more and more women who are suffering from excessive hair loss. The exact causes of hair loss are still not known yet. However, research indicates that the problem is caused by various factors, such as stress, hormonal imbalances, lack of sleep, an overactive thyroid gland, lack of certain vitamins and minerals in one's nutrition and some other parameters.

Today, various solutions exist to either stop hair loss or to stimulate hair re-growth. There are prescription drugs, injections, implants and other solutions. However, there are also natural remedies that are less painful, that don't have any side effects and that are often even more effective. I suggest you try some of these alternative treatments before you take some more drastic steps. I also have to mention that there are not really any magical solutions that will allow you to re-grow your hair within a few days or weeks. Whatever solution you may chose, a minimum amount of patience will be required in order to succeed. Now, let's have a look at some of the best alternative solutions to stop hair loss and/or stimulate hair re-growth: Make sure your diet doesn't lack any of the vitamins that are crucial in order to stop hair loss. The most important vitamins are vitamin B3, B5 and B6. Other important vitamins are vitamin A, C and E. Your diet should also contain sufficient amounts of calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron, copper, selenium and silica. Mustard seeds have been used for quite some time as possible cure for hair loss: Put about 1 tablespoon of mustard seeds in half a liter of boiling water and cook them for about 5 minutes. Wait 20-30 minutes to allow the water to cool and then drink the water. Massage your scalp with coconut milk; leave it for about 20 minutes before rinsing your hair. Take equal amounts of warm castor and almond oil and massage your scalp with it twice a week. Do regular scalp massages with jojoba oil. This not only nurtures your hair but also keeps it beautiful and healthy.

Asbestos: The Cancer Causing Dust

Mesothelioma is a latent, usually fatal cancer resulting from asbestos exposure. The majority of those exposed were men, working in construction and shipyards from the 1930s through the 1970s. Mesothelioma symptoms typically take time to appear, so these exposed individuals may not notice symptoms for decades following exposure.

Unlike regular dust in the air, asbestos clings to bodily tissues. Pleural malignant mesothelioma is most common, because the fibers or dust are inhaled or swallowed. The microscopic dust particles cannot be eliminated by the lungs and eventually become lodged in the mesothelium, the lining surrounding the lungs and other vital organs.

Peritoneal mesothelioma, affecting the abdominal cavity, is the second most common form of this aggressive cancer. Mesothelioma treatment must be equally forceful.

Although the cancer causing dust can mutate cells that will remain latent for 20 years or more, it is particularly virulent once the cancer cells begin multiplying and dividing. Although the cancer causing dust can mutate cells that will remain latent for 20 years or more, it is particularly virulent once the cancer cells begin multiplying and dividing. The original cells can divide in numerous ways, creating cancer cells which multiply even more quickly and are difficult to identify. Diagnosing mesothelioma is particularly complex. Many patients are in advanced stages of the disease before diagnosis is made and treatment can begin.

Preventing Cancer Causing Dust Exposure

Because mesothelioma is difficult to treat effectively, preventing asbestos exposure is vital. For decades, asbestos was commonly used in construction and industrial settings. It was not until the 1970’s that its toxic nature and relationship to malignant mesothelioma is discovered. The use of asbestos has since been banned. But, there are still numerous buildings, including schools, where asbestos insulation remains.

Renovation or demolition crews, known as asbestos abatement technicians, must wear protective gear to eliminate the chance of asbestos dust exposure. Protective outwear prevents asbestos particles from clinging to clothing and subsequently exposing a secondary area, such as the worker’s home. A specially designed hood prevents the particles from getting into the hair. A mask eliminates any chance of inhaling or ingesting asbestos dust while working with the toxic material. Hazardous material handling procedures are stringent.

Summary

Scientific data proves that asbestos produces a cancer-causing dust that is life-threatening to anyone exposed to the particles. Individuals may not even realize they have been exposed until decades later, when physicians diagnose malignant mesothelioma. Because this particular cancer is rare and difficult to diagnose, the cancer is usually discovered in the advanced stages. Since mesothelioma is one of the only totally preventable malignant diseases, eliminating exposure to asbestos dust is the only answer to eradicating this potentially fatal illness.

Foods To Avoid Eating

When it comes to healthy eating and nutrition proteins play an important role in maintaining the health of our body. They help to repair and build muscle. The two main sources of protein can be derived from animal meat, vegetables and nuts. Too much protein can also be harmful to our bodies causing problems to the functioning of our liver and kidneys. As well as quantities, there are bad proteins and good proteins. The following are two types of bad proteins that you should avoid:

Red Meat

Fresh organic meat is a good source of protein but too much of it can be unhealthy. In particular, red meat is a high protein food source that is high in fat. Too much of this can increase the levels of acidity in the blood. This can have an adverse affect on the major organs of the body such as the kidneys and liver. Red meat is also difficult to digest especially if it is not chewed properly. This can cause problems such as constipation and also lead to irritable bowel syndrome.

Cows Milk

Another protein that should be avoided or at least reduced is the consumption of dairy products and in particular cows milk. The milk from the cow is very difficult for our digestive system to breakdown. There has also been many medical studies that have linked cows milk as a contributing factor to triggering allergic reactions such as asthma, skin rashes and eczema. Cows milk is also very high in fat and its nutritional level is very low. High industrialised farming methods use a lot of drugs and hormones which are injected in to the cow and these can get into the milk. If you cannot live without milk try goats milk as it is easier to digest. There are also milk alternatives available that include milk made form rice or soya.

Refined Foods

Todays western diet is becoming increasingly made up of refined and processed foods. These foods make up a large percentage of the western diet and have little to no nutritional value whatsoever. These types of foods focus more on the taste and the appearance rather than the nutritional and fibre content.

Refined foods create an unnatural food product that is void of any natural vitamins and minerals. Its main purpose is to fill you up and make you fat. Many of these foods use refined white flour and sugar as their main ingredient. These two main ingredients are used in a multitude of other refined foods with added preservatives and additives to improve the taste.

Refined food should be avoided at all costs or eaten as a very occasional treat. These include all fast foods, buns and cakes, biscuits and any type of processed packaged food.

If you have a health condition or food allergy consult with a doctor before changing your diet.
