Foods To Avoid Eating

When it comes to healthy eating and nutrition proteins play an important role in maintaining the health of our body. They help to repair and build muscle. The two main sources of protein can be derived from animal meat, vegetables and nuts. Too much protein can also be harmful to our bodies causing problems to the functioning of our liver and kidneys. As well as quantities, there are bad proteins and good proteins. The following are two types of bad proteins that you should avoid:

Red Meat

Fresh organic meat is a good source of protein but too much of it can be unhealthy. In particular, red meat is a high protein food source that is high in fat. Too much of this can increase the levels of acidity in the blood. This can have an adverse affect on the major organs of the body such as the kidneys and liver. Red meat is also difficult to digest especially if it is not chewed properly. This can cause problems such as constipation and also lead to irritable bowel syndrome.

Cows Milk

Another protein that should be avoided or at least reduced is the consumption of dairy products and in particular cows milk. The milk from the cow is very difficult for our digestive system to breakdown. There has also been many medical studies that have linked cows milk as a contributing factor to triggering allergic reactions such as asthma, skin rashes and eczema. Cows milk is also very high in fat and its nutritional level is very low. High industrialised farming methods use a lot of drugs and hormones which are injected in to the cow and these can get into the milk. If you cannot live without milk try goats milk as it is easier to digest. There are also milk alternatives available that include milk made form rice or soya.

Refined Foods

Todays western diet is becoming increasingly made up of refined and processed foods. These foods make up a large percentage of the western diet and have little to no nutritional value whatsoever. These types of foods focus more on the taste and the appearance rather than the nutritional and fibre content.

Refined foods create an unnatural food product that is void of any natural vitamins and minerals. Its main purpose is to fill you up and make you fat. Many of these foods use refined white flour and sugar as their main ingredient. These two main ingredients are used in a multitude of other refined foods with added preservatives and additives to improve the taste.

Refined food should be avoided at all costs or eaten as a very occasional treat. These include all fast foods, buns and cakes, biscuits and any type of processed packaged food.

If you have a health condition or food allergy consult with a doctor before changing your diet.

So there are bad proteins and good proteins. We need proteins in our body to help repair and build muscle but if we take bad proteins because we are not aware of its kinds, we build fat instead of muscle. Thanks for providing foods to eat and to avoid if we choose healthy eating. baby eczema
